Community Service - Special Projects

The GFWC-NC President and Director of Junior's Special Project for 2010-1012 is  Literacy: The Adventure of a Lifetime.

The 2010-2012 GFWC-NC President, Sharon Greeson and the 2010-2012 Director of Juniors, Andie Johnson, have combined their special projects.  Their primary goal is to challenge each of us to achieve a goal of  volunteer hours and give back to the community.  Over the next two years their combined goal, Juniors and Generals working together, will be to donate 75,000 hours to support literacy in North Carolina.  That works out to be about 15 hours per member over a two year period! To track your hours for this project, click here. To find 101 Things GFWC-NC Clubwomen Can Do For Literacy, click here. GFWC-NC has also decided to start a new scholarship,  the GFWC-NC Teaching Scholarship. To raise funds for this scholarship GFWC-NC will host its second golf tournament. Proceeds will support Literacy Programs and Scholarships for Teachers in North Carolina.
